Drawstring pouch & fabric composition
This perfect mini course takes you through the process of using your fabrics scraps to create a composition and design, that you'll then hand stitch into a sweet little drawstring pouch

This sweet little project shows you my process of taking fabric and working with the design, intuitive, colour and pattern play.

Learn these beautiful processes

  • The way that I create little pieces of textile art with fabric scraps and precious textiles.
  • Make string from fabric
  • Hand stitch a drawstring pouch that's perfect for storing your creative projects, taking on daily outings, or keeping your everyday supplies handy and easy access.

Oh hey, I’m ELLIE

I'm a textile artist and creative maker, specialising in working with intuition to create beautiful, special, unique fabric pieces that sing of your own inner whisper.

I love teaching projects that are simple and achievable, but also allow you to extend your learning into new and different ways. To explore the possibilities of your fabrics and the technique.

In my work I find it important to empower you to learn new skills, overcome fears, develop your own creative voice. All my courses lean into this - take my ideas and techniques to create something your way!
a new way of seeing something

I enjoy bringing traditional techniques to you in a new light.

If you're a complete beginner, my courses are the stepping stone to a new creative textile world. While teaching a project I also share ideas about slow craft and creativity, living a simpler life, and working with your intuition to create pieces of textile art.

More experienced students learn how to break rules, do things with abandon, instinct, intuition, and approach things with a completely different viewpoint.

QUESTIONS?
  • What if I'm a complete beginner?
My videos are filmed as if you're right beside me in my studio. My videos are aimed for total beginners to learn how to create. You'll learn how to insert a zip, even if you've never sewn one before - overcome your fear of zips with my simple how-to.
  • What does 'lifetime' mean?
This means the life of the course - not so much your or my lifetime :)
I have been sharing my courses online for 10 years, so they're not going anywhere anytime soon. If I do ever retire the courses, I'll give you ample notice so you can download the content to keep and watch from your own device.
  • How do I access the course?
My courses are hosted on a site called ThriveCart. You can access it easily on your device - desktop, laptop, phone, tablet - wherever you can get internet access.

Once you purchase you'll receive an email on how to log into your student portal and access your course.
  • What if I don't like the course?
There is no refund or exchange on any of my online courses or digital products. Though if you feel like the course isn't as it's been described please let me know and we can work something out.

I stand by my courses in their quality, value, content, and what I provide. If you've never taken one of my online courses, please check out my free course available on my website petalplum.com.au
  • What currency are your courses in?
I'm moving all my courses to Australian $. Your bank (Stripe or PayPal) will automatically convert to your currency for you, so no need to worry about that. You can visit XE.com to check the current conversion rate, but please note that all banks do a slightly different conversion rate.

If you are Australian you'll be charged GST on top of the course cost.
  • I have another questions
